The Kissing Sailor: Never forget to Love

One of the most romantic moments ever captured on camera. On August 14, 1945, Alfred Eisenstaedt took a picture of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square, minutes after they heard of Japan's surrender to the United States. Two weeks later LIFE magazine published that image. It became one of the most famous World War II photographs in history and the most celebrated photograph ever published in the world, a cherished reminder of what it felt like for the war to finally be over.
I was very impressed with this picture. Why? Because it shows you what real love is. A man kissing his girl after knowing that the war is over. They must have been so happy to know that they had made it through that horrible and bloody war and that they were finally safe. They now could get back to their homes and start making plans for their future cause no one could hurt them anymore. I think that everybody needs to know  that they have someone who is there for them, to take care of them and to love them as if they don't care about anything else in the whole world. That is Love. And it's so weird how a simple picture can make you understand the Power of Love. Love can beat the war, Love can beat the hate, Love can beat all the madness in the world. Because when you have love, you are rich. And who cares then if you're running under the rain and you haven't got an umbrella or if you fail your math test or still if your hair is disheveled: you got love, and love is all you need. To be happy, to smile, to be foolish.
